About Me

Having qualified as a Clinical Psychologist from the University of Surrey in 1999, I have been working in the field of adult mental health ever since. Having worked in both Community Mental Health Teams and inpatient settings across the NHS and the private sector, I have significant experience in conducting specialised psychological assessments and delivering interventions and therapy for a wide range of complex presenting difficulties. I am trained in a variety of psychological models and therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and I have a particular interest and expertise in the field of Complex Trauma, PTSD, Attachment and Dissociative Disorders.

In order to provide skilled therapeutic help using effective, evidence-based practice, developing a comprehensive and individualised understanding of a person's difficulties is paramount, so that meaningful, compassionate and responsive therapy can be undertaken.

In addition to individual therapy, I also work as an Expert Witness, providing medico legal assessments to the Civil, Family and Criminal Courts.

I am based near Macclesfield and provide sessions in a private and confidential space. I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS)
